Bountiful Blessings...

Good morning everyone! Today I have a Thanksgiving card to share with you. It's very simple. I embossed the cream card stock with with the Quickutz leaves folder and used two stamps, one for the sentiment, which was "Bountiful blessings" by Stampabilities and the other was for the main image. The main image is from a Stampin up set that carries the same name, "Bountiful blessings". The image was colored with Copic markers and matted on dark brown and orange card stock.

This is what the card initially looked like. I decided it would look better if I created some faux stitching around the main image. I did that using a thin brown Sharpie. This thin brown line helped to "pull" the card together.

Here is a close-up.

I have this neat little tool called the "Cutter bee" which I use to punch evenly spaced holes on my card stock. I used to use it freehand and my lines were always crooked and uneven. I discovered recently that if you use it together with your Scor-pal, you will get straight, evenly spaced lines each time! You probably already knew this but I thought I would share it for those of you who, like me, did not know this little secret. LOL!

Well that's it for today. Thanks for visiting and until next time Happy Crafting!

Oh Baby!

Hi everyone, welcome back! Today, I am sharing a baby card I made for a baby shower we are having for a co-worker today. For this card I went with blue, white and yellow for the color scheme. The main image is "Baby with Rattle" from "I Brake For Stamps". I decided to leave the image uncolored except for the bow and rattle.

The sentiment "Welcome Baby" is from the Stampin up set "Short & Sweet". I used the Martha Stewart Embossed Scalloped edge punch to create the white edging. Spellbinders oval and scalloped oval dies were used to frame and mat the image. The papers I used on this card came from the "Sydney" scrapbook pad set from Making Memories.

Well that is it for today. I will be sharing some more baby cards next week. Have a great weekend and until next time, Happy crafting!
